Chestermere Rec Centre to Charge Parking Fees for Beach Users

Starting Thursday, July 1, the Chestermere Regional Community Association (CRCA) will charge a fee to those wishing to use the Rec Centre’s parking lot while visiting Anniversary Park. Beachgoers will be charged a daily fee of $10 per vehicle per entry to access one of the designated parking stalls.  Users coming to the facility for Rec Centre purposes will not have to pay a parking fee.  While the CRCA is happy to open portions of the facility’s lot to beachgoers, we must ensure CRCA members and users have access to a spot during peak times and warm weather, which...

Provincial Restrictions

Chestermere Recreation Centre is OPEN! As per the Government of Alberta’s Open for Summer plan, the Chestermere Rec Centre is OPEN with no provincial restrictions in place. Although masking is no longer required, we ask members and users to remain vigilant and practice safe physical distancing when necessary. Also, if you are feeling sick, please stay home! Mask Policy

As of Monday, October 26, masks will be required in all public spaces at the Chestermere Recreation Centre. As a busy hub for the community, our facility can sometimes become congested in our public shared spaces. Since we’re not always able to reasonably maintain a two-metre physical distance from one another, the CRCA requires members and guests to don their masks while in public spaces such as main lobbies and bleachers. Of course, if you are actively participating in physical activity or are medically not able, you are not required to wear a face covering. Public spaces are: WashroomsViewing areas (bleachers)Waiting areasLobbies HallwaysAny common public spaces Do we need to wear masks in the change rooms?  While in a change room, we request that you follow your organization’s mask policy.   Do we need them in privately rented rooms?Suppose you are in a privately rented space, like in a meeting room during a private function.
