April 7, 2021 On April 6, 2021, Alberta’s Government re-introduced previous Covid-19 restrictions in sport and recreation, transitioning back to Phase 1 of Alberta’s Re-Opening Plan. As a result, the CRCA must make some changes to our current rentals, effective Thursday, April 8, 2021.   All indoor sporting rentals must be for minor sports (18 years and under) and only up to ten people, including the training staff/coaches.   Only one youth group can occupy an indoor playing surface at a time (i.e., ice, gym, or pitch).More than one youth group may occupy outdoor playing surfaces (i.e., diamond, pitch, or court) as long...

Mask Policy

As of Monday, October 26, masks will be required in all public spaces at the Chestermere Recreation Centre. As a busy hub for the community, our facility can sometimes become congested in our public shared spaces. Since we’re not always able to reasonably maintain a two-metre physical distance from one another, the CRCA requires members and guests to don their masks while in public spaces such as main lobbies and bleachers. Of course, if you are actively participating in physical activity or are medically not able, you are not required to wear a face covering.
