As per the Government of Alberta’s newly re-introduced restrictions, as of Saturday, September 4, masks will be required in all public spaces at the Chestermere Recreation Centre.
As a busy hub for the community, our facility can sometimes become congested in our public shared spaces. Since we’re not always able to reasonably maintain a two-metre physical distance from one another, the Alberta Government and the CRCA require members and guests to don their masks while in indoor public spaces such as main lobbies and bleachers. If you are actively participating in physical activity or are medically not able, you are not required to wear a face covering.
Public spaces are:

Do we need to wear masks in the change rooms?
While in a change room, we request that you follow your organization’s mask policy.
Do we need them in privately rented rooms?
Suppose you are in a privately rented space, like in a meeting room during a private function. In that case, AHS recommends wearing a mask since two metres’ physical distancing may be sporadic or impossible at times. However, it is not mandatory as it is not an open public space.
