Last year, structural deficiencies were noted in the Red Arena roof prompting a potential closure of the rink, and possible shut down of the entire facility. After some negotiations and planning, construction repairs began during the spring months while the Centre was closed due to COVID-19. We are happy to announce the repairs have been completed, and the Red Arena roof is once again open. The construction is also complete in the fitness area, dance studios, viewing area (now the Olympus Boxing Club), Whitecappers space, and MPP Hall. All areas are available for rental opportunities!
The CRCA would like to express our thanks to the City of Chestermere, Rocky View County, and the Alberta Government for their generous support of the CRCA’s building repair initiative. The building will continue to serve our community for years to come and provide the best possible services and recreational activities for all our members and guests.
