March 1, 2022

The Government of Alberta has entered Step 2 of their lifting of public health restrictions. This means as of Tuesday, March 1, the Chestermere Recreation Centre will no longer require masks to enter the facility and has returned to normal capacity. Indoor and outdoor gathering limits have been lifted, including for all weddings, funerals, and events, and patrons in our Lounge are able to move freely between tables with no capacity limits.

We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation!

February 9, 2022

The Alberta Government announced the removal of the Restrictions Exemption Program effective February 9. As a result, the Chestermere Recreation Centre will no longer require proof of vaccination to enter the facility. Additionally, patrons are no longer required to only enter through our main doors. All entrances and exits have returned to regular use.

As per the Government’s updated public health measures, all other restrictions, including mandatory masking indoors, will remain in place until further notice. The masking requirement for children under 12 will be removed as of February 14.

As always, the safety of our Members, guests and employees is our top concern. Therefore, the Chestermere Recreation Centre will continue following the most recent Government of Alberta guidelines.
